How the CPM Machine Works

Our FAQ's

• You offer three types of machine, which will I get?

This will be subject to machines available. You should contact us by phone or email if you require a certain machine to ensure we have it available in stock.

• Can I request the CPM machine I want?

You can request the machine you would like but it will also depend on availability. This should be done by telephone or email before you make payment.

• When will me CPM machine arrive?

Our machines are posted out on next delivery service. If your order is placed before 13:00 Monday to Thursday you should get it next day. Orders placed on Friday won’t arrive until Tuesday. Certain addresses next day delivery is unavailable (you will probably already know this given you live at the property).

• If I need the machine for more than the two week initial hire period when do I need to let you know?

We will contact you 2 working days before rental is due to expire, if you need the machine longer you can extend the period for a week at a time for just £69.

• Can I preorder a machine to arrive after my surgery?

The maximum time you can preorder a machine is 7 days. This is subject to availability.

• I’ve never used a CPM machine before. I’m worried about setting it up and how to use it.

We recommend that you use the CPM machine with guidance from a physician, if this is not forthcoming the videos on our website should be able to supply all the information you require. Our machines are sent out with a quick start guide, user manual and packing manual.

• My 480E machine will not go to the maximum flexion

The machine is in warmup. To disable this feature turn the machine off and on again at the power switch, then select “No” to “Warmup” feature.

• My 480E machine will not let me change any settings.

The Set/Lock Switch needs setting to unlock. This is located next to the power switch.

• My Performa machine will not let me change any settings.

The Set/Lock Switch needs setting to unlock. This is located on the top of the machine where the cable comes out to handheld controller.

• My CPM-B machine will not power up?

Check the red emergency power off switch, it may have been depressed in error, rotate clockwise to release. This is located on the main unit above where the mains cable enters the machine.

• My CPM machine will not fit back in the box?

Each machine arrives with a packing manual and roll of parcel tape. Please follow the packing instructions provided. If the instructions are not followed exactly it may be impossible to get the machine back into the box securely, this can lead to damage in transit. WARNING: Failure to follow the packing instructions, which results in loss or damage to the equipment, will be charged to the hirer. If you still can’t get it back in box please call us (0161 711 0940) and one of the team will help you.

• How long per day should I Use the CPM machine?

Your physician may have given you recommendations, if not, a good starting point is 30 mins a day, gradually increasing the time and flex over a number of days.

• How many weeks will I require the CPM machine for?

Your physician may have given you recommendations. Most of our customers need the machine from two to four weeks.

• Will a CPM machine aid recovery?

Your physician will have given you recommendations. Many people find that using a CPM machine along with an exercise routine can result in a faster and more successful recovery
